QA Engineer

We are currently looking for an Experienced QA Engineer to join the team. 

 

The client 

Our client Briq Bookings is part of the digital revolution in the leisure industry. With a team of 40 colleagues, they work hard on their mission to make it easier and more fun to book unique experiences online. Briq started in 2017 with online booking of go-kart heats and laser tag. Ever since, they’ve been working steadily on improving and expanding their sales and marketing technology for ambitious attractions and Family Entertainment Centers. 

Briq works on solutions that provide every visitor with a VIP experience. Their smart booking engine processes hundreds of tailor-made bookings a day in Europe and the United States.

 Experience & skills  

  • You have experience with test automation and other practices and methods from the field of Software Quality Assurance.  
  • You have extensive experience with writing end-to-end and integration tests, using Puppeteer, Cypress, Cucumber and/or Postman. Experience in different but comparable technologies is also acceptable.  

 Considered as a plus 

  • Experience with writing JavaScript and having decent SQL knowledge. 

 About you and the role 

As a QA Engineer on this project, you’ll be part of one of client’s agile software development teams. Your direct colleagues are other developers, designers, and testers from Utrecht (The Netherlands) and Skopje (Macedonia). 

  • You will be working closely with testers, a product owner and developers to expand and improve the application’s end-to-end and integration test suites. 
  • You participate in sprint planning, refinement and sprint review sessions, to provide your input and ideas. We believe testing happens already at the requirements phase, not just when functionality has been developed. 
  • You do exploratory testing to identify bugs and new test cases. 
  • Although it is not the core of the job, you from time-to-time support other testers with manually testing new and improved functionality.  
  • You have an analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude, and strong organizational skills. 
  • You can think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture. 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) of Informatics and Computer Engineering or similar degree. 

Foreign languages 

You will also work directly with our client, so fluent English is required. 

Minimum B1 (Intermediate)
