For one of our biggest clients, we are looking for a Senior PHP (Back end) Developer  

The client  

Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing player in the global trade and recycling of non-ferrous metals. Our client is an important link in the global supply chain for recycled metal, linking local and regional suppliers of scrap metal to a professional and global network of scrap metal processors. The client has developed several applications for internal use by its employees, streamlining internal processes and facilitating workflows, as well as a customer portal that is used by thousands of clients every day for access to live metal prices and trading of metals. They are one of the largest scrap metal recyclers in Europe, selling renewable metal resources to smelters (factories) in the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, India, and China.   

They are kicking off growing their team in the workplace of our Skopje office.    

Experience & skills   

• 5+ years of experience  
• Strong knowledge of PHP/ Laravel (>= version 7.4/ 8.0)
• Strong preference for Docker and Kubernetes  

Considered a plus  

• Golang or Python 
• Experience in the broader area of IT (Ex. knowledge of networks)  

About the role and you:    

As a Senior PHP (Back end) Developer, you will be working directly with our team from the Netherlands and Macedonia.

• Take part in the development of the new scalable, service-oriented modules  
• Work on constant integrations with the existing landscape  
• Work both individually and, in a team 
• Participate in making the development process smoother   
• Follow the latest trends, be eager to learn, and communicate clearly and concisely 

Education   

Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Informatics and computer engineering or similar is considered a plus   

Foreign languages   

You will work directly with our client, so fluent English is required.
